Wexphotovideo.

Post by mudhen15 » Mon Sep 14, 2020 6:09 am

I am looking to upgrade my lens and have found what I'm looking for (sigma 150-600) from Wexphotovideo.com. Has anyone dealt with them before.

yes, I bought my Sigma 150-600C from them as well 2 years ago, they had an excellent deal which included a x1.4 converter as an optional extra.
Their prices are usually very competitive and it arrived the next day and can't fault them at all on that and other bits I've bought from them have arrived equally quickly.

Re the product, I took up the x1.4 converter offer but have hardly used it the lens has enough reach as it is and I found the converter made images a bit 'soft' so I wouldn't bother with that again unless they were offering it for virtually nothing. It's quite heavy so it's worth getting a 'black-rapid' type shoulder strap for it otherwise you will be bending like the Huntchback of Notre Dame after a day out with it, that strap makes it far more table to use. If you're getting the sport version that is even heavier and 2 people i know who bought that found it too heavy and hardly any difference in quality so think twice about it, personally I think the C is a more practical solution for a long reach lens.

I bought a Sigma 150-600C lens from Wex three or four weeks ago. I have dealt with the company a number of times and have without fail received excellent service from them.

And as I said in an earlier post on the General Chat section, they offered free delivery to my "Scottish Highlands" postcode, unlike a couple of other retailers!

Another thumbs up for Wex, bought my 80D, 18-135, 70-300 and a 430EX Speedlite. Good service, prices about average. Also used them to trade-in a couple of old lenses to fund the 70-300 - reasonable prices and no hassle. (Because I did a trade-in the invoice date for the new 70-300 lens was the day AFTER I ordered it which meant I could take advantage of the Canon cashback!!!!)
