Beach landings at Pembrey

Post by Cubit82 » Tue Aug 06, 2019 6:49 pm

Hi guys, hope I’ve posted this in the right place - can anybody help me with the frequencies used for aircraft performing beach landings at Pembrey. Looks like they will be there most week nights this week and next.

Cheers.

Early evening this week, 18:00 ish to around dusk (NOTAM is very specific but they don’t appear to be adhering to the times specified). Last night a C-130 was active until well after 21:00.

Next week they appear to be due to carry out night landings, from about 23:00 to 02:00

It’s been the RAF this week. C-130J ZH879, callsign Ascot 109 on Tuesday evening according to Radar360.

Didn’t make an appearance last night but my man in Pembrey reported it was “windy enough to fly a dog” when he took his pooch out for a walk on the beach.
