I’ve been back down to Portland for the last week and a half, it seems a bit quieter than in previous years but one of the hangared German Sea Kings did operate a short air test on the 1st and there has been occasional visits from Wildcats and Merlins as well as the based AW139 G-GSAR being active.
Merlin ZJ130 made a brief visit yesterday evening whilst on a sortie from Yeovilton, didn’t refuel, just briefly landed on the runway.

It is believed that there are 2 German Sea Kings at Portland along with the 2 other ex Royal Navy Sea Kings. G-GSAR AW139 is also based.
