REQ: Plymouth Sound 22 May 2019

Post by Puddlejumper » Tue May 28, 2019 3:47 pm

Seen among about a dozen helicopter capable ships during the week was:

F334 'Dom Francisco de Almeida' 1x Portuguese Lynx

F930 'Leopold 1' 1x Belgian Alouette

Help with serials would be appreciated.

Merlin ZH839 overflew towards the south west at 08:45 on the 23rd. (serial from 360 Radar)

Alan.

Although I didn't get a chance to confirm it , I'm aware that M3 has been operating off Leopold I recently.
The Belgians have now finished FOST so she has now departed.

I have not managed to get the Portuguese as yet. It should be around for a few more weeks so fingers crossed.

I think the Belgian Allouette serial is M3 when if came to Portsmouth in April. I think the ship has been back to Belgium since so not sure if it will be the same aircraft
