2 helicopters

Post by Unknown74 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 9:39 pm

Can anybody confirm what the 2 helicopters I have just seen heading into Edinburgh Airport a few minutes ago are - callsign was WILDCAT? I saw outlines with lights but couldn't make a positive ID. Thought they may have been Pumas or Lynxs although they didn't sound like Lynxs.

'Wildcat' is a 657 Sqn Lynx callsign, all the way from RAF Odiham

Now that's interesting, I never knew that AAC Lynxs were based at Odiham, or were they visiting there from somewhere else?

According to the airport computer, Wildcat 1/ZE378 and Wildcat 2/XZ616.
