Not in โ€˜the knowโ€™, but, although connected with ongoing events, I think it will be a C-17 on Tuesday. Time will tell.

Thanks Alan, my thoughts are also C17. Might catch the A400M departing as the aircraft are taking off Runway 24 now. Runway 06 was in use earlier when I saw the A400M on finals.

I'm not in 'the know' either, but I wondered if it was bringing up members of the Queen's Guard, (now the King's Guard?) to stand watch over the Queen's coffin whilst at St Giles Cathedral?

Will KC3 still use Kittyhawk?

Presuming KC3 is King Charles III, then why wouldn't he?

No, not as a title nor callsign. Those that have respect for the Monarch/monarchy should know, those that do not have different views are best to keep quiet on the subject.

Ace! Thanks.
I'll bet crash gate 6 will be a no-go zone for security reasons? Might just film it from the back garden or bedroom window.

Folks, just to confirm.
ZZ177 landed at Edinburgh 09.00 this morning. The a/c was parked at the south west of the โ€˜newโ€™ parking ramp (others may know which stand).
At about 13.35 โ€˜177 taxied out and took off and was seen on ADSB to perform a series of oval circuits over the Forth estuary.
About one hour later ZZ176 flew up from the south and at this point โ€˜177 began itโ€™s approach back into Edinburgh, followed in trail by โ€˜176. Both a/c landed in sequence, one minute apart and taxied down to the same area โ€˜177 had occupied earlier.
Hope this is of some interest.

Not being one of the regular spotting crowd, I'm not always sure of the identities of places from the names used. Is Crash Gate 6 the one accessed off Burnshot Road, as marked by the parking "P" on this map?

And how many of the spots on that map are accessible at all times? 5, 6 & 7 obviously, and the multi-storey car park (3) (though I've never been tempted by that one). But are 1 & 2 always accessible, particularly to non-drivers?

At present, the wind is a light westerly for tomorrow, so presumably Runway 24 will be used.

Edit: removed spot 4 from discussion as it is seemingly no longer an option.
