USAF FY21 budget request (Article)

Currently 62 at Dyess, Ellsworth and Edwards (a single test airframe AFAIK) with a further 18 at DM in the inventory, removing 17 would leave 45 active

I personally think what we tend to forget is how long these A/c have been around for
I have A10's logged in 1978 = 40yrs+ - and - B1's - 1989 = 30yrs+
forewarned is forearmed

We had DC3's through last year from 1937-1945, and not a flux capacitor in sight :P

There's a difference between scrapping and retirement. Look at the B52H (Wise Guy) that came out of retirement last year after 11 years ;-)

Utterly stupid to get rid of tankers when it's the replacements can't refuel anything. When the tankers are stretched so thin as it is.
