Post by Ghost from above » Fri Apr 17, 2020 8:27 pm

Richard A. Passman "Dick" (Age 94) passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020, from complications of Covid-19.

Another legend lost. A man well ahead of his time when he designed the X-16.He worked in various programs and was the chief designer of the Bell X-16.

Working at General Electric, he developed the re-entry vehicles for CORONA spy satellites. He also co-wrote the X-15 book with John D. Anderson.

Interesting information. I had to look up the Bell-X-16, don't think I've come across it before. Seems none were completed
