Friday 11 February is the last day of Red Flag 22-1 , I will be able to visit on that day . Being the ' last day ' do they fly ? , Would anyone be able to tell me , going on previous years , what the flying schedule might be ?.
Also this would be my first visit to Nellis ...
Many thanks
Rob

Re: Red Flag 22-1
Not sure about the last day of a Red Flag but I would guess a normal morning mission, possibly even a maximum effort ? Will be likely to have support aircraft arriving to take aircraft and crew back to their home bases. Some USA based units might want to get home on the Saturday/Sunday, but assume there is usually a "after show party". No where better to party than Las Vagas !!!
Dont forget that Nellis AFB has a major tactics training role, it is not just Red Flag. Monday morning will be just as busy with base aircraft and departures.
Wish I could be there !!!!!

Re: Red Flag 22-1
From memory there’s no evening VUL on the final day. There’s also no big party (sadly) but some transports do come in to recover kit and personnel. Also be aware that Green Flag often runs in parallel.
