Hello all, I am hoping to head to Southwold to the see the start of the Flypast. Going on previous flypasts which elements will be visible? I’m guessing everything minus the helicopter/BBMF parts? Thanks in advance.

I thought the Valley element were operating from Brize Norton for the actual flypast?
The Hawk T2's should be not sure on the Texans.
Brize would seem liks a strange place to depart for the flypast ,i would have thought Marham would be a good choice and maybe brize after for fuel?

Marham notam currently showing closed, however I would guess F-35s would join in, maybe to Coningsby as that would be open anyway?

Marham currently showing as open on the 2nd -

02 JUN 0700-1500z

Waddo was showing open 1000-1300Z but now closed. Believe it's just the RJ operating out of here but could be wrong.

Change of plan - I'm thinking of getting myself to Hyde Park. I assume you would get a good view from there as the flypast will go directly above Buckingham Palace?

If it's sunny, the sun is likely to be against you. But check it out early and maybe head for the bridges mentioned. Although they may well get fairly packed.

The Met Office seems to be suggesting it'll be fairly cloudy all day but we're a ways off yet

I am going to Waterloo bridge as I did for the 100 , plenty of room and you can't miss anything.

I agree with the above that Marham is a likely starting point for the hawks etc as Coningsby will be busy launching typhoons.

I went to Waterloo Bridge for the 100 and is was reasonably busy, not too overcrowded though. I am considering elsewhere as I have a feeling it might be packed there this time. You have to get on the right side of the bridge or you end up contending with lamp posts and double decker buses.

I was on Waterloo Bridge for the 100th. , but found the aircraft were a bit `over the top` of me.
Thinking of Blackfriers Bridge this time , as it seems a little more to one side of the flight track , assuming they fly straight up The Mall.

Would HAVE to be 'fly straight up The Mall' or they wouldn't be overhead the Queen! Apparently the flypast is for her?

The south side of Westminster Bridge is great spot, they appear from behind the London Eye and are more side-on than Waterloo Bridge with the sun behind you.

Thanks Supra for your sarcastic comment.

That`s the problem with these forums - a comment that does not meet some persons criteria is met with abuse.
Hence why in over 10 years , I have only posted 76 times, and probably will not again.
