Was at Muckleburgh a few weeks ago there was a RAF or army officer in uniform in the cafe looks like there was a exercise going on that evening after it was dark very very low flying Apaches came over where we we staying no lights on ,Anybody know how often this happens
As I’m going back to stay again in sept/October.The staff in the shop there said the usaf are there quite a lot too.

Quite often is the answer. But not to a timetable.
Watch the notam map

And a large orange circle will appear on.the Norfolk coast when it is due. usually get a few days notice . click on the attached W and it will then give dates and times. Will say something like aircraft involved in high energy manuovers cannot comply with rules of the air.
Note most are at high altitude

F-15’s & Typhoon are fairly regular visitors for the FAC (Forward Air Control) exercises at Mucklebrough - generally speaking they operate in the sort of 10k-2.5K bracket so not majorly low. As the other poster said keep an eye on the Notams will be specific as to whether it’s rotary or fast jet activity on the notams.

Several places in North Norfolk are used for JTAC training. Little Snoring airfield was used a few times last year. On top of that the 352SOG use Sculthorpe quite a bit too.
As mentioned above, checking NOTAMS will tell you what, and when.
