Air Force One replacements

Post by Philwinward » Fri Nov 08, 2024 2:12 pm

Just wondering, now that Trump is back in charge, will he try to get the AF1 replacements painted to his colour scheme or will he leave them in the more traditional colours.

No doubt he will but let’s hope he doesn’t we want it to be Air Force One not Trump International Airlines.

"2xVC-25B (747-800)" would have been quicker to type and helped everybody.

'everybody' didn't ask, it was just you!

I would have thought that every serious military aviation enthusiast would already know what was on order.

Ever heard the expression 'up yourself?' This forum isn't normally like this.

As far as I know (and I am a fairly serious aviation enthusiast) its a couple of 2nd hand 747s - for some reason former Korean Airlines ones spring to mind. But I could be totally wrong. :halo:

When I visited the USAF museum at Dayton a couple of years ago they said there were plans to put one of the retiring VC-25s into the Presidential hangar along with the presidential 707, DC-4, DC-6 and a few more - alongside the Valkyrie, Hanoi Taxi (C-141) and a load of X-planes. (Its a big building!)
