N947BC first delivered by Boeing 2011
N576JK First Delivered by Bowing 2020
WT001 first Delivered by Bowing 2010

It always amazes me with procurement. In particular this item. We have done without E3 for some time so why buy 3 ?

If 3 are required, why not employ three people to work at the same time with 3 aircraft, all in hangar space ?

HS2 approach to not doing the job!

We don't take care of aircraft that we already have on our stations

Not sure what point you are trying to make? Or what question you have answered?

We tend to buy the bare minimum (or less) of aircraft , especially large airframes and as a result wear them out quickly. If I remember correctly we were the hardest user of the C130 operators worldwide putting more flying hours on them than the U.S.
The other problem is could we train enough qualified aircrew to operate more aircraft ?

Thanks, though that was the point but wasn't 100% sure. Agreed and the difference I see in military fleet procurement, and civil (airline) procurement that I am involved in is quite astounding. We include the actual locations and hours required, planned maintenance downtime etc. and other factors that give a required fleet size. 3 aircraft is not going to give a 24x7 capability, and once aircraft get into the heavy maintenance cycle then you'll be down to 2 or even 1 operational aircraft available.
