Aircraft over Worcester

Post by vulcan01 » Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:30 am

I know this has been covered in the past but a work collegue wants to know about the planes which circle day after day over Worcester. He is a plane enthusiast and recognises them as C130's and Islanders.
There are reports they are evesdropping & gathering electronic information so whilst no wishing to compromise anything does anyone have any info on them?

The story did make the local media during the summer. Type in 'RAF Islanders', for example, into a search engine and fill your boots with all the theories.

God yeah, if you believe some of the people who post on the Worcester News site, you'd probably go mental. You'd think it was bombing them, for all the fuss they make!

It’s not in the Malvern area is it? :ninja:

We have some nice radar profiling models and a Bloodhound Radar cabin in our collection from about those parts! :halo:

Those guys make me laugh, try living in London, on a clear day you see and hear up to 20ish civeys going in all directions at any one time. Give me a C130 "Droning" over my house instead anyday. :P
Cheers! Jamie

I live in Swindon, and have C130s going overhead every day - I don't mind a bit.
