Litter amongst other things.

Post by deerhunter » Thu Oct 26, 2017 2:59 pm

On my way home from a trip to my daughters, called at Coningsby. Sat in the car and watched someone just drop a "poly" tray on the ground. Another finished a sandwich and then threw the paper on the ground.
Went to the person who dropped the tray and politely asked if he was a regular there, to which he replied that he was on holiday. So I told him politely to shift his rubbish as "we" the genuine enthusiasts didnt want to be tarnished with the same brush.

What does eff off mean ?

Whilst he went for a "P" I thought I would do the decent thing and put it back in his boot !

Also the day before at Johns Field saw some children actually flying a kite, beggars belief !

Rant over, brew time

Well done Deerhunter. Hope that I would have the b...s to tackle some one I witnessed being a litter-lout. Same old story though, some idiot spoils it for all the good guys as has so nearly been the case at Johns Field.

Tell them politely to remove atricle/s, if not then a note of their car reg and call to the local police should suffice.

Behaviour traits of human vermin. Will most likely also possess the attitude of 'I pay my tax so someone else will pick it up'. Scum indeed Blackcat1.

It's the way parent/s bring the kids up nowadays. Some have no social skills themselves and in that group, the one's who do have some, lack the basic intelligence to pass them on to their off-spring.

Just driven past the Saxon Air facility at Norwich Airport and the place is awash with McDonald's litter blowing about, looks like the aftermath of a music festival. Sadly, this is a problem that seems to be getting worse around airfields.

This makes my blood boil. People are such lazy :grr: wits these day's
The proliferation of convienience food outlets offering drive through doesn't help either.

Deerhunter - I hope you hid the rubbish in the boot & any leftovers would become nice & smelly in a day or 2

I'd have taken a picture of his reg & the litter given the boys in blue a quick email, an official letter reminding said party that littering is an offence & swearing is also a public order offence may make them think twice.

Be interesting to know if the "boys in blue" inform you that such action has been taken. I douubt it on both counts. Current Goverment cuts put these items below zero priority.

Up in my neck of the woods if I report a driver for reckless or careless driving and I'm doing it a lot more often nowadays, the police always phone me back and update me with any action that has/hasn't been taken.

Well done Dave

I had a right good rant on FC last year about the vermin and their leftovers at both LN and MH last year, and was roundly abused on here by a few individuals (who know who they are) :grr:

These 'untermensch' are our future :(

There IS no hope :Wow:

Best regards, Judge Jeffries

I've been sitting outside bases since I was very young, Im now 20. Not once have I ever knowingly dropped a piece of litter anywhere, let alone near a live airfield... rest assured, those examples are not 'the future' of this country and do not represent the majority.

Upbringing plays a large part, living in a fairly unspoiled part of the country and appreciating that helps too. Good on you for calling these people out.

I've had quite a few hobbies over the years and you get these kind of people in all of them unfortunately, all we can do is try to educate them.

Visit Lossie after a Joint Warrior and see all the rubbish left by visitors from afar, we even had one woman hanging a Bird Feeder on the fence...now that beggars belief. The locals end up clearing up, I think the record is 3 Bin bags full.

I agree there on the litter was there a few weeks ago & there was none. Heck they even had people out in boats scooping up the debris straight after a storm.
