Hello all....I was just wondering what other peoples favourite aircraft are? Be it from a Fighter to a Bomber or a Transport Aircraft or Helicopter, It can be from any era and any country so post your top 3.

Mine would be
1.Supermarine Spitfire
2.Avro Vulcan
3.Hawker Harrier

At number 2: - VS Spitfire... Simply Gorgeous

At number 1: - DH103 Hornet / Sea Hornet... Gorgeous and Awesome

Being a "Young 'un" I didn't get to witness some of the great aircraft you guys have been lucky to see!

As a kid, I LOVED the SR-71 Blackbird, so my list will be:

1) SR-71 Blackbird

2) Any Phantom (lucky to have seen the Greek ones at RIAT - never been happier!! )

3) Of course, the Tornado GR4 - what a beast, what a noise


There are many more I could add, but these would be my top 3 if I had to choose!

C-97/B-47 (and only ever seen them in museums)

Not a great fan of UK mil aircraft , my allegiance lies across the Atlantic .
.But picking a top three has proved to be a little difficult.
No.3 F-105D/F/G Thunderchief George AFB 1979 A ramp full of these is enough to stir any ones soul
No 2 EC-121 Warning star, Midnight memories of two of these taxing in at Mildenhall after the pub closed.
No 1 F-106 Delta Dart Awesome Has always been love at first sight and sound since August 1979 .
Types that nearly made it F-14 Tomcat very hard to cast this one a side
The C-141 Starlifter a type that changed my entire aircraft interests
The C-124 Globemaster An aircraft i saw far to few of but remember with great affection.

3. Sea Harrier FRS Mk1

XB70 Valkyrie, B58 Hustler and SR71, I have been lucky enough to see all 3.......

1 - B-52G... Smokey!
2 - Sepecat Jaguar.
3 - SR-71... Knee trembler!
4 - F-8 Crusader. Gorgeous!
