As a fairly regular visitor to the LPG afterburner runs, and Cold War Jets days, I've not seen or heard any news since the 2020 statement regarding the fate of the Lightning's and other aircraft which so fabulously rattled the Bruntingthorpe runway.
It would be a sad end if the aircraft were unable to stretch their legs or even run idle, and the monumental task of fundraising for the QRA shed which amazingly was achieved would be sad if it were for nothing.
Does anyone have any news regarding the fate of the Lightnings, Buccs, Starfighter, Jaguar etc?
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....
What's the latest on the Lightning Preservation Group
Re: What's the latest on the Lightning Preservation Group
Nothing has changed.
They are staying where they are. The plans to get a museum area up and running are ongoing. Meanwhile they are still running them and so on

Thanks, glad to hear that after everything that has happened in the last couple of years.
