... you still have a few years.
First C-390 will arrive in 2026. So I guess the C-130s will be around for at least 4-5 years.

Without researching the subject does it look like a Kawasaki aircraft for the same role? Are they related?

Are they related?
Beyond "they are both aircraft with engines" no.

Maybe my suggestion deserves a little deeper investigation EGVP! They are in fact very similar in that they are both current, high-wing twin-turbofan military transports of a similar size. The Kawasaki is slightly larger and has a better max t.o.w. at 141,400 as against the Embraer' 87000, has a better range at similar speed.

Sounds a bit like comparing a Boeing 707 with a Douglas DC-8.
They are both the same but different!

Maybe my suggestion deserves a little deeper investigation EGVP! They are in fact very similar in that they are both currant, high-wing twin-turbofan military transports of a similar size. Currant? I suppose with similar requirements that defines their "raisin" d'etre aircraft will ultimately look similar. A medium range/capacity transport type with a measured load size requirement and rough field capability and a tail door and such will look and perform similarly, likewise a subsonic trainer type, or 4th generation fighter etc
