Any Ideas - Fast Jet Noise Tyneside 08:15 - 08:30 Approx

Anybody any ideas what was generating all the fast jet noise over Tyneside some time between 08:15 - 08:30 this morning.

Scanner was off as was in the greenhouse.

Coningsby & Marham were still at breakfast
Lakenheath is Shut

Nothing on tracking & the Hawks out of Lemming always show

Sounded too loud for either of those & the Alpha's seem to show.

Strange one I'll keep digging, nothings come back the other way as yet

Any chance it was a U2 not sure of there routings today ?

Thanks for all the Replies it was indeed a bit out of the ordinary for us.

The U2 could be a possibility, I hear it on the scanner quite a bit requesting permission to descend to 50k on it's way home. Normally a bit further South but guess it all depends on the route.

It Could be the Qatari Hawks as they are up early ,they were out and about over York around 8am earlier this week.
