Personally I think the Chipmunks were far better at the job - and they lasted longer too!

have any typhoons been up today? someone on FB said they had seen 2 over Salisbury around lunch time and forces news have said they have been cleared for flying but Coningsby is very quiet.

Apparently none have flown from Lossiemouth today either, not even the daily Polish CAP sortie.
This season, I'll be mostly wearing........A THONG!

think the ones out of Coningsby have been Q currency flights. guess that classis as essential flights.

Three separate flights today at CBY had callsigns Typhoon, Wolf and Cobra.
All of these are recognised squadron callsigns, and are not QRA associated.

The US AirForce has grounded all F-35s (+T38, Texan) for checks of the MB ejector seats...

Really doesn't matter what the problem is!

It will get fixed and when it is the jets will be in the air again ... simples.
Ex: 24/30/70/72/84/101 & 230 Squadrons .... 38 years of military aviation :grr:
