Fellow FCers...the local rag reports that "bosses at RAF Leeming have advised of increased flying activity in and around Leeming August 23rd - September 23rd" (link to article https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/ ... orth-east/). Can anyone throw any light?
Cheers, Pete

Re: Leeming - exercise?
Perhaps a bit early for the fabled CW2022? Some locals have opined that it might be some 'Special Forces' exercise, apparently a regular annual event involving rotory equipment only. The press article seems a bit hyped, mentioning "jets" a number of times - surely not artistic license!?NorvilleRogers wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:47 amProbably this..Petepilot wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 10:31 pmFellow FCers...the local rag reports that "bosses at RAF Leeming have advised of increased flying activity in and around Leeming August 23rd - September 23rd" (link to article https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/ ... orth-east/). The RAF Leeming Twitter and Facebook feeds have illustrated the notification with a photo of a pair of Pumas. Newspaper hype probably.
