Incident (collision?) - NE France

Post by sschofield » Wed Aug 14, 2024 12:39 pm

Just seen news of an incident involving 2 French military aircraft in the Autreville area (some miles NE of Paris). Article suggests they may be from Nancy or St. Dizier but is thin on detail.

Sounds like they have located 1 survivor who ejected, but as yet no news on anybody else. Fingers crossed.

Seems 2 Rafales out of St Dizier, a single and a dual. The single seat pilot ejected but the dual ones are missing. Hope for the best.

Cheers,
Ranger

French site Delta Reflex says 2 Rafales from ETR03.004 involving 3 pilots.
As I understand 2 still missing.

rescue ops are still in process , location of the crash is very near Nancy-ochey airbase that's why at first they were announced as MIRAGE 2000 D

RAF Lossiemouth conducted a missing man flypast, twice, to commemorate the passing of the two pilots

A report on Scramble states they were both dual Rafale B. Serials 350 and 356.
