Looks like Draken did her a favour. Those curtains are horrendous.

Good job she wasn't having a number two at the time.
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.

Bless her! Tough as Supermarket steak & clearly able to deal with shock & trauma after looking at those curtains for years, eh POL?
Ever so slightly OTT journalism again, 'Destroyed' ?? Jeez, I've stayed in 3-Star hotels where that post-incident bathroom would've been more acceptable. :O

On a serious note, previously 7 Sqn operated Canberra jets towing a variety of targets from underwing Rushton winches at St Mawgan & I can recall several incidents where towed targets were jettisoned over the airfield.
IIRC some random Sage told me that the winch was able to guillotine the cable in the event of a retraction failure? The gunnery targets were usually dropped over the airfield to assess the evidential results post-mission.
Some more info on the darkside....https://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13754.
Clearly a jettison should not be combined with a Radar to Low Approach as seems to be the case here!

Back in the 80s (maybe earlier) there was a Hunter from Brawdy or Chivenor which had an emergency and the pilot ejected over the Bristol Channel; the Hunter carried on and landed between two house in Tintagel, basically in one piece.

Here is a link to the Tintagel incident for anyone interested:

Found it a few weeks back and kept the link for future reference.
