ITV News understands the military helicopter involved in a crash in Cley, in Norfolk is not British.
The RAF is assisting with the search operation.
The US Air Force does have a base in RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk.
The helicopter could be a Blackhawk, which could have had as many as four people onboard.

Sky News Live/TV Channel is reporting on their news ticker that runs on the bottom of the screen that, "crash in Cley area on North Norfolk coast believed to involve a U.S. military helicopter".
