Airfix 2025

Post by seven » Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:09 pm

In case no one noticed, Hornby have announced the first lot of releases for this year. New tools:
1/48 Spitfire IXe and Tr.9
1/48 Jaguar GR.1/1a
1/72 Wessex HC.2
1/35 Stalwart Mk.2
1/144 SLS Artemis

Plus some new versions of the 1/48 Gannet, Ferret armoured car, Me 410 and Chinook.

Plenty of welcome re-releases too, details to be found on the Airfix site.

Yes, Quite an impressive list. Some nice kits I would like to build for old times sake like the Hudson Puma and Boeing Clipper.

I have just about finished the Airfix Spitfire Mk.VIII 1:24 . I thought it was a very nice kit. I picked it up from Jadlam for £65 . I am already wanting to get the Mk IX that has just come out, Just waiting for the price to come down a bit :)

Word of warning to anyone after the vintage Jaguar(72nd), it has been packed with the wrong (Jaguar A) fuselage, so has been withdrawn from sale.

A04070 Mosquito B.XVI/B.35/TT.35 added to the line up. New sprue includes a proper bomb bay so you can now build the original release accurately

Surprised no one's commented on the 1/24 Bf109G released last week. Not something I'd buy but the Rafwaffe scheme does look good IMHO.
