Just picked up the new Italeri 1/48 Hawker Hunter F6/FGA9, looks very nice with a choice of 6 markings: 2 x RAF (45 & 56 squadrons), Swiss, Dutch, Singapore and India. Nice instruction sheet and looks good, crisp and clean mouldings with plenty of detail (but I think they've missed out a panel :) ). Just ordered the new Xtradecal sheet from Hannants as I've got a few 1/48 Hunters now. Looking forward to the build.

Is it a repop of the old Academy or have they done their own?

Oh s**t and there was me thinking it was new and shiny! I've got the Academy ones in my pile as well. That said I'll probably build this one first as it has 45 squadron markings and I worked on all of them, and for good measure I'll build a 'sister' in 58 squadron markings as they were all 45 aircraft until the squadron split.

As it's the old Academy kit you won't need a review as that was probably done ages ago...

Hi all,
Noticed earlier this evening that the generally well regarded Eduard 1/72nd Hellcat has been released as a combo for 2 RN versions. Might just have to partake in a boxing to satisfy my Navy fetish!
Arabest,
Geoff.

If anyone would like one of these Lynx's, I can do the Navy version for 26 quid or the Army one for 24 quid, plus 3 or 4 quid P and P. Can have them in stock for end of the week.

Drop me a PM if interested.

Typical Airfix, had the Bf109E-3 turn up just before i left work, i think its the new tooling, certainly had the new number. £5.99. This however throws the Spitfire and A-4B out of the window
