I thought I would add this section as before for all the new releases that are out or due to come out.

As per usual I was checking out all the usual sites and I saw that trumpeter are bringing out a 48th F-5 chinese AF and hasegawa are releasing an impressive 48th helenic RF-4 speacial scheme. The box artwork looks very impressive. I am a big fan of the 48th Hasegawa phantoms so naturaly this will be one for the stash.

There will be 2 new F-22 raptors coming out, trumpeter will be bringing out a 144th scale offering and Hasegawa will be bringing out there 48th effort, Ive already got the Academy kit witch is very impresive so I am looking forward to seing the Hasegawa version. It should be out possibly first half of next year, I will post more as I find it out.

It wont be long now for the 48th Kinetic E-2C Hawkeye, it will reatail for about 35-40 quid.


Im guesing that the date will be the internetional date, but im sure it wont be much after that.
They are bringing out 2 versions of this, Again I will post more info as I get it.

It is american, but it makes for an interesting read.

The trumpeter 48th F-100 is now out priced at 32 quid, its off the the hobby store I go (metophoricaly speaking, Its all ready orderd on the net) I will post a review as soon as I recieve my kits and get a bit of time. Unless someone else is getting it then please feel free to post. I will put a reviews thread on the main page for this purpose.

Ive just heard that eduard are binging out 2 48th jag kits, the gr.1 and 'A' Im guessing these are the old airfix molds but I may be wrong. If the price of the Eduard 48th lightning is anyhthing to go by (56 quid which can now be pre-orderd from hannants) im sure these will be around the same mark. I also see with interest that they are bringing out a 48th B-25 and P-51B.

I see that Academy's F-4E is to be in 48th scale - hope it's good!

As for Eduard's Lightning, now I've seen what will be in the kit, I don't think I'll be buying any! That's an awful lot of money for the old Airfix kit and a bit of etched metal that I don't even want. Compared to the beautiful Aires resin cockpit, who the hell would want to use etched brass?!

Think I'll take the cheaper (but more tedious) route of converting some of my Airfix F6 stash back into the earlier versions - change the outer wing leading edge and copy the smaller belly tank off one of my F1/3 kits in resin and substitute that. It'd still work-out cheaper than buying an eduard kit!

I see what you meen, I thought for that sort of money there would be a whole new resin cockpit, other resin detail, corected detail and plenty of brass. Its a bit of a let down. Shame realy

Trumpeter will be bringing out in february 2010 a 32nd su-24m and a swordfish Mk-II. If the swordfish is anything like the first release it will be a definate buy for me as the 48th Tamiya kit retails for around 40 quid and I picked up my 32nd trumpeter for 49 quid.
Still no sign of the 32nd frogfoot yet though, or the A-6E intruder although they are on the future release list at Hannants.

I asked you about the rumour you mentioned regarding Trumpeter doing a Starfighter - just as the old FC site disappeared!

You know any more about this? I've asked everybody I know and nobody has ever heard anything about Starfighters before. Hope you're right though!

Had to laugh at a post that has appeared on Britmodeller's site tonight. Some guy claiming astonishing news that Airfix are planning a Valiant kit. Funny thing is I told them that over a year ago and one of their self-appointed experts claimed I was talking rubbish. Bless.

Incidentally, I think the mystery 24th scale kit they're referring to is actually a Hawk.

Sorry sheff that was partly a slip up on my behalf and a writing error on my sources part. Its actualy a load of F-100's in various scales and not F-104's. So I appologise for the mis-information. Shame realy, I got rather excited when I recieved the email from him. I will check my soucre's information more carefully before I post in future.

Continuing on from my post about trumpeters F-111, it looks like they will be bringing out an EF-111 as well. Release date at the moment is just 2010 but as usual I will keep you posted when I hear more.
What with Hobby boss's 48th tornados coming out soon we will be spoilt for choice as Trumpeter will be bringing out a 48th tornado im not sure on the mark yet but again when I get the info I will post it.
