H-53 question?

Post by Unknown74 » Thu Jun 10, 2021 4:15 pm

Was just wondering wether there are any kits of the H-53 Helicopter? Just I would like to build an MH-53J like the ones based at Mildenhall before the Ospreys.

Revell & Italeri had one out a number of years ago but unsure whether either of them are still available - maybe worth a check on E-bay. Cannot remember which one I got now but it came with decals for one of the 21st SOS helos. Came out nicely (although I hasten to add it was a commissioned build - not me!)

Revell released a 1/48 Ch53 recently, not sure if you could make that in to one?

Unknown74 the revell ch53gs in 1/48 can be used to produce an mh-53j but you will require one of the conversion sets to complete it and also a set of decals but i'm not sure if either are still available.
This is one I did quite a while ago now https://flic.kr/s/aHsm7VM1jS

Lone Star models now produce the ex Cobra Company Pave Low conversion, but they are closed at the moment due to illness and order backlog.
Caracal Models are bringing out a decal sheet that will cover USAF CH/MH-53's.
