canberra pr9
hi,does anyone know if there will be a diecast canberra pr9 released anytime soon, cheers das.
Re: canberra pr9
das, as 7 has pointed out the only diecast makers of the canberra are Corgi.
I spoke to one of their reps a few years ago and pressed them on if a PR.9 was on the cards. The answer was no as the mould would need to be modified and the cost was too much. Also, if the mould was modified, it means that it can not be used again for existing Canberra diecast models.
At this time Corgi seem to be restricting their diecast releases due to the economic problems and I have heard that this will not change anytime soon.
Our only hope is if one of the other diecast makers go for it with Hobbymaster being my first choice. Again the issue here is that most of their release choices are for the world wide market and I think you will find the Canberra would be low on their priorities as it would be seen as a UK only market release with minimal sales elsewhere.
Lets just hope Sky Guardians don`t try it on.....
