The F.6A had the longer jetpipe with the 'chute. Not sure about the pylons though.

At the moment I've got a 1/48 Revell Apache, which is an absolute blumming nightmare and I've just got started on my 1/48 Revell B-17.

I have the following on my bench

Started and in various stages airfix 48th canberra
acedemy 48th ch53 super stallion (building for a friend)
accurate minitures 48th b25c/d
and awaiting my attention are airfix 48th f6 lightning and f1/f3 lightning t4/t5 conversion ordered

I currently have my 72nd SU27 on the Bench ( going to be in IL2 Colours :halo: )

How is this progressing?
There WAS an F6A, owned by BAe I believe, which had the Avon 200 (FGA9 power plant) plus brake shute housing but F6 airframe otherwise. Colour scheme was red/white, date c1974. They serviced it alongside our FGA9s in the hangar at Wittering and I was asked to do the engine side as they were not qualified. Can't remember the serial though - well it was 37 years ago! I think I've got all the Revell kits so if there's any parts you need I'm sure I can help.

What's on my bench? well everything in the stack really.
First up will be the 1/144 F14 for the US Navy comp followed by a Wessex for the helicopter comp.
Then it's anybody's guess out of a Spitfire Vb, Hurricane II, Venom, Bf109 and 38 Hunters - might have to buy some more of those...

Yet to finish from last winter , one Revell F-22 and a Italeri F-117 also need completeing .
Still not started Italeiri U-2 senior span plus just aquired a F-100 model very old model from e bay plus a F-102 from monogram also of e bay
