It does indeed, besides the standard colours here are some of the more specific ones:
- Light Gull Grey
- Flat Base
- Burnt Iron
- Olive Drab FS34087
- Grey FS36320
- Grey FS36231
- Engine Grey FS13588

Cheers

All the above are available in Xtracolor's enamel range. Are you spraying or hand brushing as Xtracolor are more suited to spraying

The Engine Grey is for the Dark Grey colourscheme, the 2 Grey's 36320 and 36321 I don't know where they get these from as the 2 tone Light Grey scheme is 36375 and 35237? So if you're planning doing the overall Green scheme you won't need them, also if I recall rightly the overall Green scheme is USMC Field Green FS34095 and not Olive Drab.

Cheers scott,

Going to do a mix of spray (from can) for the exterior and then by brush, not ventured into the world of airbrush yet.

Cheers

Welcome back to the hobby :thumb:

The airfix nimrod is a very nice kit, I dont do 72nd much any more but when I bought one to see what the fuss was about when it first came out I felt I had to build it. I liked it so much I bought another one to convert into the aew3 with some waddo decals from model alliance for both of them.

As Mark has said, he is our local hawk dude so he would be the best to ask about those :thumb:

Other than that, I hope you enjoy the hobby again. We are all here to help if we can and please feel free to post your builds/finished kits as there is none of the nastyness you may find on other forums (I see to that  ).

Enjoy

OK, due to a modelling fatality involving my IL-76 build over on CA I am back to military.

I have decided to finally build the hasegawa F-14 tomcat in 48th scale in memory of a very good friend of mine who died two years ago. Before anyone asks no he wasnt a pilot, this was just his favourite aircraft. I will be doing it in his choice of scheme which was the jolly rogers. He had a jacket which was covered in tomcat patches, but the jollies were his favourite.

I wont be posting it as a build as this one will mean a lot to me so I really want to do it right, I will however post it in the gallery as a tribute to him.

And what a fitting tribute you can't get better than the mighty cat :)

Looking forwards to seeing it in the Gallery mate.

And what's on my bench? Erm......................................nothing (yet)

Super sabre - needs drop tanks and weathering
Kyfo - needs cockpit frame painting and possibly a diorama
YB-49 - needs (lots of) paint
B-17 - still in box but not for long
