FC Competition - Helicopters

Post by Flyingmonster » Fri Oct 21, 2011 3:17 pm

Hi all :thumb:

For this competition I am think of running it for 6 Months from 0001 on 01/01/12 to 2359 on 30/06/12 :)

There will be a prize for the top 3 builds - I need organise this :thumb:
Model Competition Rules.

1) Competition is open to ALL FC members

2) One entry per member

3) Any Military Helicopter may be included in any scale no smaller than 1/144th and no bigger than 1/24th. This will also include 'what if's' But they must be in keeping with the usual FC model section rules.

4) The use of any detail & decal set is permitted but must be declared so we know what you have used (we may want to get them for our own projects)

5) The use of diarams/bases is permitted but not mandatory.

6) Entry's must be posted in the comp WIP section with a minimum of 5 photos of you progress and there is no maximum. This must also include a description of your kit and what you intend on doing it as. But if things don't go as intended that doesn't matter as long as you let us know.

7) ALL entry's must be posted in the finished builds area for judging. Any that are not posted there will be void and wont be judged

8)Judging will be done in the same way as the photo competitions and will be judged by the team. The winners will be announced on the main forum and on the model section.
All winners will be contacted by PM and asked for details on where to send the prize.

9) And the most important rule of all Enjoy
Cheers

Wasn`t expecting it to include a `whif` element, but I`m plenty happy it has. ;) My mind has just gone into overdrive..... :ninja:

I've got a 'Black Cats' Lynx in the stash which i'll probably enter. I have just bought a CH-47 gunship Chinook :Wow: from BenyBoy which I may consider.

It's a Hobbyboss kit. I was bidding for a 1:32 'Little Bird' but lost out at the last minute :grr:

Thats a nice little kit kit that Steve! One problem was the Decals tore fairly easily if snagged!

Was considering either the Artic Commando Seaking or a Chinook doing a heavy lift? Possible land rover?

I've got an EC-135 I'd love to put in Swiss / US Army / Irish Air Corps colours...

Or I could do my SeaKing AEW2 that I recently purchased!

Haven't finished a build in about 9years  (started about 6 though but just never finished any!)

Help ! Anyone know if decals are produced for Wessex of 28 Squadron RAF as google shows nothing. I really don't want to have to hand paint them...

With the sad news that has hit us, I would like to dedicate this Comp to all involved with The RAFAT.

Does anyone have any objections?
