Well TC - The rear cabin area looks like it can be opened up for a tail mounted gattling gun, I think the front and rear passenger windows on both sides could take a 30mm Each, plus maybe under the nose - a similar system to the Apache with camera system/gun/helmet mounted sight and finally the wings look like they are heavy enough for a couple of AIM-9's on the tips!!

So now its over to you! Colour scheme (you are going to hate me) - but the black/white/grey splinter scheme

Enjoy

Like your thinking Steve, but may tone it down a bit and go with a Falklands, (1982), feel to it.... ;)

I say that, but knowing me and my `workload` at present, I might need those 3 days....!!

By the way, found this youtube video for my proposed build. Interesting stuff the way it looks, operates and moves, and I`m really looking forward to sticking it into a military scheme.....

Gents the competition is now open!

Please post you WIP shots in the WIP area stating the Scale, Manufacturer and the subject. Can we all put FCHC before that so I know its for the comp.

Example - FCHC - 1/72 - Airfix - Sea King

Once your builds are completed please post in the Finished Builds section in the Comp area.

Any questions please ask in this area also.

Just to reiterate the rules.
Model Competition Rules.

1) Competition is open to ALL FC members

2) One entry per member

3) Any Military Helicopter may be included in any scale no smaller than 1/144th and no bigger than 1/24th. This will also include 'what if's' But they must be in keeping with the usual FC model section rules.

4) The use of any detail & decal set is permitted but must be declared so we know what you have used (we may want to get them for our own projects)

5) The use of diarams/bases is permitted but not mandatory.

6) Entry's must be posted in the comp WIP section with a minimum of 5 photos of you progress and there is no maximum. This must also include a description of your kit and what you intend on doing it as. But if things don't go as intended that doesn't matter as long as you let us know.

7) ALL entry's must be posted in the finished builds area for judging. Any that are not posted there will be void and wont be judged

8)Judging will be done in the same way as the photo competitions and will be judged by the team. The winners will be announced on the main forum and on the model section.
All winners will be contacted by PM and asked for details on where to send the prize.

9) And the most important rule of all Enjoy
The competition will run for 6 Months and finish at 2359 on 30/06/12.

Now get building! :thumb: :thumb:
Cheers

Jamie - one entry per person - is it possible to build two and then decide. Eg I want to do the Whirlwind HAR but then Airfix is doing a Merlin later in the year. If I did both as a build, with photos - then just decide on entering one?

7 - we can live in hope - but it was only a example. I have defiantely got the Chickasaw to Whirlwind HAR10 conversion to do, plus maybe a seaking? We'll see though! Thanks though,

Ask the baby if she'll behave. If she says yes, then yes  She's having a major impact on my modelling lately. Everytime I get my mojo to do some work, she gets bad colic and I get no rest
