Airfix Boulton Paul Defiant

Airfix Defiant

I have just finshed the new airfix Boulton Paul Defiant Kit

It has take me 4 weeks on and off and enjoyed doing it as its been about 10 months since my last build

On a whole a good kit that went together well without a lot of filling required

The bad bits: Poor cockpit dashboard, just a decal on a bit of smooth plastic and poorly detailed wheels

And here is more good! Just finished a night-fighter and if it wasnt for all the new stuff(New AV-8A and 1/48 Hurri fell off a shelf today! ) i would certainly get more!

Nice finish btw! However, i think you have made a mistake with the fairings as i understand the canopy and spine should both be in the same configuration. Saying that, I know someone else who did that!

Hi Paul :P

This was THE very first kit I ever built :Wow:

Airfix: Series 1: 2/s; plastic bag; all sprues black, so no painting, as it was a night fighter

I was only 10, but it was amazing to put this all together myself with NO help :Wow:

It ended up being blasted to pieces by my first air rifle

Great work, mate

A superb model. I also remember building this as a kid in the early 80s. I may be confused but I remember it being an awful kit to put together. Glad it looks like it's been retooled. Well done.
