Tamiya 1/32 F-15E

Post by PaulN » Thu May 18, 2023 8:40 am

Hi
This is Tamiya's F-15E half plastic kit half Meccano  Lots of parts are screwed together , found the fit is better if these are not used , after making a few of the series .

Always liked the TMOTA 2005 scheme that was held at Mountain Home AFB , Revell did an issue of their F-15E/D back in 2010 with these markings included as the kit is only a rough representation of the prototype E , thought I would try the markings on the Tamiya kit , luckily they were very nice to use and the fit was pretty good only a few small touch up in places . The one thing that was missing oin the sheet were the black Tiger stripes on the flaps/tail planes but these were easily made from black decal

Finished in Xtracolor FS16118 Gunship grey Paulclad and Hataka Satin Lacquer varnish

Thanks fort looking

Wow. Top work as usual, how big is it?
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
