SOG exercise??

Hi all,
Noted this afternoon at MoD St Athan were the following:
11-0057 knife 71, was operating when I left then filed for a 20.15 departure back to mildenhall, unsure if now departed!
11-0061 knife 72
11-5731 mc-130j departed around 5 or 6pm
12-5757 mc-130j departed around 5 or 6pm

Just had the two Ospreys depart back to mildenhall 5000ft heading Gloucester way, seen over Newport.

Heading in to D208 Stanta before they come back to the Hall.

Yes sma!l exercise over the weekend , they should be back tomorrow operating until Monday/Tuesday

2 MC130s and 2 Ospreys departed St Athan Friday evening. Now it's just a rumour they will be back.

As I stated above Gareth, only rumours! Best off not discussing in depth what happens on a public forum, with what they do at st athan with the Ospreys due to the nature of the exercise.

I was curious as to what SOG stood for and the perceived secrecy so I Googled it and found details of a Special Operations Group deployment to Fairford in 2013 ;

Brightening up slightly!! Hope they take scenic route lol then again I'm off to a birthday party to the pub so I'll probably miss them!

3 MC-130Js turned up just between 0020 and 0040
