My Group build project will be the old ESCI Italien kit of the Harrier FRS MK1,

2 decal marks to consider, XZ457 899th HMS Hermes, or 899thRNAS Yeovilton XZ439, any help on the paint codes of Gray would be of help?
cheers Rich.

It may be an oldie, but it's a goodie ;)

Without knowing the dates, I can't be sure what scheme they were in, so I'll cover all bases:

Early scheme- Extra Dark Sea Grey (EDSG) BS640, White undersides
Falklands scheme (with oversized roundels)- EDSG BS640 overall
Falklands scheme (low vis)- Barley Grey BS626 overall, except for Medium Sea Grey BS637 wing undersides
Late scheme- Dark Sea Grey BS638 Overall

Hope that helps

Shaun :)

I am still trying to finish my F-15E from the Lakenheath group that closed a while back!

So probably not the best to propose any GB's yet.. I do have to say that a minimum of 3 months is needed for a GB if 32nd is alowed as they take an age to get right and 3 months full out for me is the minimum it takes to get the kit right

fair one they are 3 months at the monet to get 8 in a year but if it proves too tight i will look at extending it

see this is the feedback i need!

or you could restrict the GB scales.....

some people can build in 3 days, where as I cannot.....

A large scale GB would be cool to look into... but i also think that restricting scales would work as well.
