I've got an 1/144 F14 of VF114 Armadillos on the bench - bit out of my comfort zone with this one

I'll be starting with a couple of F-4U Corsairs and then go from there. There's a rather nice 1:48 Tomcat in the stash that keeps calling to me

Thanks for that Tanker. :thumb: Jamie sent me the same link a while back and it looks like there out of stock. I`ve sent a email asking about them anyway, so I`ll see what happens.

I` think I`ll go for the low vis as I have a high vis diecast version. Still hoping to get the Crusader sorted though.

I`ve been advised that this years Telford may be able to supply what decals I need. I can`t make it, but if anyone from FC is going, they could have a look for me and make me a very happy man.. ;)
I'm having a look on Google for pics of a Crusader with the 'sunshine' and i'm coming up blank. Did they exist in that form? The design of the sunburst is fairly simple and shouldn't be that hard to hand paint with some tape, if that's the only decal you're short of.

*Edit* I've just come across some real world images on this site.

If I was in your position i'd go for a mix of the kit decals and hand paint the rudder.
Cheers Steve. Have to say my `free hand` is not as good as yours so if this comes to a dead end, an F-14 it is.

As Jamie says above but also mark up the heading `USN/USMC GB` before you state the aircraft type so everyone knows it`s part of the GB. ;)

My local fine purveyor of model kits came through as usual, with this:

Bit of an odd scale, but it looks decent enough.

I've just come across this looking for wartime pics of the Corsair. Plenty of refference pics of many different USN aircraft.
