I'd like to join in on this one please mate.

I don't know with what yet, but I'm sure I'll find something by the start date.

I have in the stash:

Hercules
Hunter
Tornado
S.A Bulldog
Avro Shackleton
Avro Vulcan
Jet Provost
Whirlwind
Domminie
Lightning
Puma.

I've just got to make sure one of them has the correct markings!

Alan

The Rules

1. Starts at 10pm on Saturday 30th November 2013 and finishes at 10pm on Saturday 1st March 2014 . (There will be no extensions)
2. Any model scale of any aircraft that have been flown by the RAF from 1st January 1980 till the 31st December 1989.
3. Entries should have a WIP thread, in the WIP section with all major stages of construction covered.
4. Please head your WIP and finished build `1980`s RAF GB` followed by the aircraft`s designation. ie `1980`s RAF GB - Tornado GR.1`.
5. A seperate GB gallery will be set up shortly for your completed builds.
6. There will be an open voting system at the end but there is no prize other than the admiration from your fellow modelers and your name and model gaining it`s place in the FC Modelling Hall of Fame.

And the all important rule number 7....., have fun!

If you have any questions about this GB, either post your question here or contact me via PM.

I wouldn't mind having a shot at this. All my kits are still in large boxes after a house move but I know I have many possible candidates - somewhere.

Sorry i've been away for a bit making models of choo choo's  I've just looked in the stash for an aircraft type that i've not seen mentioned and i've selected a 11sqn Lightning F6 in wrap around and a 5sqn Lightning F6 in grey with the red spine. Both 1/72 Revel, ex Frog kits. I'll start them once i've finished my little diesel shunter.

I have an excuse - out at sea at work and not home for another week - but I will be on the case as soon as I can be.

Cheers

Hunter T7 well on the way, photos up soon I hope (computer is dead at the moment - I'm using my daughter's laptop to post this). If timepermits I'm aiming to do an FGA9 also as I've found a suitable photo and I've got the decals in the stash.
