AFS-Design Saudi Typhoon - ZK090/322

Post by GARYKING » Sat Apr 27, 2013 6:17 pm

Decided to tweek the standard Saudi Typhoon for the AFS with something that is more fitting of the recent Saudi deliveries/

Here is ZK090/322 in three tank delivery config. I still need to get RSAF on top of the right wing, the Saudi AF logo on the left and paint the airbrake, but getting there.

If anyone can help I'm on the hunt for a layered Photoshop kit for the model.

I contacted AFS-Design but got nowhere, I then found that UKMil have a repaint kit, but after becoming a member it appears I need to be a paying member to get access to the repaint kit that they have done. I might need to try and build my own somehow, I wanted to try and get a 41SQN one finished too. Hoping to get to Coningsby on Tuesday to get some shots.

I don't suppose you guys have a better performance config file for the AFS, I asked AFS-Design about the climb and turn ratios but AFS say that the way this performs is correct as per Typhoon specs. I have seen some great displays by typhoons, but this is way over powered, climbing to FL600 in under a minute and mach1 in 20-30 seconds.

I have played with various configs from Alphasim models etc, but still trying to get something that flies well
