2 APACHES VISITING SHAWBURY TUESDAY

Post by reds1966 » Tue Jun 16, 2020 8:36 am

Just a heads up.

Calling London Info 124.75 is "GUNSHIP", a pair of Apaches from Wattisham to Shawbury at 500ft. One is showing on adsb as ZJ186. At 09.32 they were North-West of Duxford and will route through Birmingham Airspace via M42 Jnc 10.

The pair landed approximately 10.27 and were off again around 11.00 as Gunship Formation, eventually landing at St Athan.

Now 3 APACHES VISITING SHAWBURY TUESDAY?

Post by reds1966 » Tue Jun 16, 2020 1:43 pm

Army Air 440 calling London Information. South of Cambridge 14.33 low level routing Wattisham to Shawbury (no route provided). Stated he was a single Apache (360Radar had him briefly as ZJ223).

Re-appeared on 360Radar South East of Leicester 15.06 and now handed off to East Midlands to go North through their zone so unless this is weather avoidance, it looks like a change of plan!

Army Air 440 finally landed 16.31 local after a trip round the north of Manchester.
