4 x Chinooks Wed???

Understand from friends in Dublin that 4 US Army Chinooks heading there through the day from EGOS (Shawbury).
Sorry but don't know any times but i see there are 4 in lakenheath today.

Arrived at Shawbury at about 0900.
Departed at 1000.
Returned about 30 mins later due to poor weather.
Still on the ground at 1230 waiting for weather to improve.

A14.

flight of 4 CH47's inbound to EIDW Dublin, now fl2500 ft over north wales working london info on 124.6 and changed to Valley 125.225 @ 1400

The 3 remaining Chinooks are going to have another attempt at crossing the Irish Sea today.
Expected into Shawbury at 1540 local and due out 45 mins later.

One Hawk (one of the Reds?) and two Tonkas have departed using runway 18.

Saying that - on looking at the clouds the wind looks decidedly westerly - so in that case they may use 23 - so if you want airborne arrival shots you might want to position yourself near Moreton Corbet Castle.

US ARMY 70072 CH47? en route from Baldonnel to Germany coasting in over Wales on London Info 125.475 and onto Valley 125.225 at 14.45hours, and will go back to London Info after on 124.6 onto Shawbury for fuel.
