Shawbury Feb 2015
Re: Shawbury Feb 2015
Hi Scarecrow,
Do you know if the hawks and dauphin are still present, i.e. nightstopping?
Thanks
Nick

I know the Dauphin did depart back to hereford but not sure on the Hawks.
Re: Shawbury Feb 2015
Can confirm the Hawk's today were the same as yesterday:
XX318 - Pirate 15 (ARR/DEP)
XX246 - Pirate 06 (ARR/DEP)
Both Hawk's were taking part in JTAC training to the South of Shawbury. Only other Visitor was an overflight early afternoon by Lynx AH7 "AAC626", enroute Odiham to Valley.
Also, various engineless Tucano's were noted being shuffled round the airfield, including ZF416, ZF447, ZF345 and ZF263. Additionally ZF408 was seen inside one of the storage hangars.
DHFS Rotary noted were:
Griffins - coded; I,K,O,U & S
Squirrels - coded; 43,51,55,56,60,61,62,64,66,67,68,69,70,71,72,76,77,79,80
In amongst the DHFS fleet was a grey coloured Griffin, presumably an 84Sqn a/c?

17th February
According to a picture on shawbury's Facebook page a Chinook HC3 visited today (17th). Looking at sbs logs ZH898 was noted wearing a Shawbury Squawk and using the callsign 'Vortex427'
Also visiting was King Air G-IASA as 'Calibrator99'
