Shawbury low level

I wonder if any one can help with what I an picking up on my scanner . I live close to shawbury and one frequencie that keeps popping up is 282.000 I belive this is low level request . Can someone explain what this means and what type of aircraft are using this frequencie and what is the purpose of this request

Quite often stuff that has transited through the Lichfield corridor will contact Shawbury on 282.000 for low level 'let-down', generally for LFA7 (not just the MAch Loop). Could be any type of aircraft heading that way tbh

282.0 is Shawbury Approach which also provides a Lower Airspace Radar Service (LARS). There is also a discrete frequency, 376.675, for helicopters operating at low level in LFA9.

Not spotting anymore and Shawbury is very anti spotter anyway. But probably a bit overdue for an update on frequencies.
