Major resurfacing works

Hi all. For anyone planning to visit Shawbury there are major apron, taxiway and runway resurfacing works being carried out over the next 18 months. I was there a couple of days ago and the main runway was completely closed for works and I would imagine for the foreseeable future, so maybe curtailing any fixed wing visitors? Helo ops seem to continue as normal but the viewing from the North end especially is very much interrupted by the construction works and vehicular traffic. Cheers!

No fixed wing will be operating from Shawbury for Cosford show 2025 either !

Agreed although very few have the capability to give fast jets everything they need and in range of cosford after a Reheat filled display.
