Sweden selects C-390

Sweden has signed a letter of intent with Brazil to purchase C-390s to replace their C-130 fleet.

So that means that Marshall will be losing The Netherlands, Austria and now Sweden as C-130 customers in the coming years.

With the new US facility taking the USMC work and nothing so far having come of attempts to sell the ex-RAF C-130Js, will there be enough work left in the U.K. to justify the expense of the planned move to Cranfield? Or will they just quietly abandon the idea, as they have with the Land Systems move to Alconbury?

Time will tell

I think Marshall's already have a cunning plan that will soon be revealed and I understand those ex- RAF C130s are currently ear-marked for another NATO member.

Could Marshalls become the European service centre for the C-390 ?
They already work with most of the European future operators.

I suspect OGMA in Portugal will do this, as they already do for C-130s. OGMA are owned by Embraer, and build parts for the C-390
