Hi, my name is Greg and I'm new to the forum. I've been interested in the Cold War for a while now and that includes aircraft from that era. I guess my interest has come from my Dad who took the sequence of photos of Phantom XV589 crashing at RAF Alconbury in June 1980.

Welcome aboard Greg, I remember seeing those photos in Aircraft Illustrated. The crew ejected when it's nose swung open on finals, a 111 Sqn crew from Leuchars I think?
