Hi.
Can anyone advise me please as to the length if time it takes to be granted membership. I am asking on behalf of a friend who applied 6 weeks ago and has yet to hear back from the admin team.

The wait is at maximum a few days currently, sometimes a week if the spam gets bad again. Sounds like he may have got caught in the spam net and not been accepted or had his account deleted for not following the joining process correctly. If he can sign up again the team will get him accepted.

There is no sign ups older than 2 days. His application was probably flagged as suspicious and declined

We are in the middle of a wave of spam at the moment and, as Gary has said he was likely caught in that or did not access the forum within a couple of days or post in the newbie forum. I have just deleted 14 spam sign ups in the last 24 hours, Gary has approved one new member and there are two questionable signups requests that need a bit more work. If you post his proposed user name to me I will be happy to approve him.
