Hello from Co Durham-First Gear Question

I am thinking about starting up this new hobby and had a look around various sites for information about scanners to suit the beginner that would cover military and civilian aircraft.

Can anyone advise if there is a shop in the North East or North Yorkshire where I can go and check out various options available?

Choosing a scanner is difficult for me (as a Newbie) and deciding who to purchase from is equally difficult - I would be grateful for all information received.

I would like to be set up in time for the Sunderland Airshow later this month and will visit RAF Leeming tomorrow and will badger other visitors accordingly.

Hi Mr B and welcome to the forum, have a look through this section as the "which scanner to buy" question has been asked loads of times before :- viewforum.php?f=182 There's also many threads regarding suppliers as buying online can usually be far cheaper than buying from a shop.
