Afternoon everyone! Been an observer of FC for many years but finally took the plunge to set up an account now. I live very close to Bruntinghthorpe and was gutted the Cold War Jets got closed down - twilight lightning runs forever etched in my brain (and ears).
I manage to get fenceside 4 or 5 times a year, normally Coningsby, Marham, Mildenhall, Lakenheath etc. and always end up chatting to really friendly folk who are similarly afflicted!
Whenever I am holiday around the UK I use FC to see if there are any local movements (Donna Nook, Pembrey, Sculthorpe). Also looking forward to getting to Cosford and Fairford shows this year - tickets and campsites booked.

Hi Everyone.
I am an Australian noob currently living in Cambridgeshire, not too far from RAF Lakenheath & Mildenhall, and enjoy the military aircraft flying out of these locations, not something that I got to see very often in rural Queensland!

Hi boothmacher

A very warm welcome to Fighter Control... It's a great forum full of very knowledgeable members covering all aspects of aviation from photography to serials.

My best mate now lives in Victoria Australia... he's been out there for quite afew years now and apart from the Avalon Airshow and a few air museums he doesn't get to see much military aviation either.

Very lucky you are to be living so close to two of our favourite bases.

Enjoy the forum.

Hi acliff11

A warm welcome to Fighter Control.

Living in Scotland I'm envious enough about but being 20 minutes away from Prestwick as well... wow... lucky guy :thumb:

Lots of nice visitors there... up until recently I spent quite a lot of my working life to and from Scotland delivering from the Borders Dumfries to Edinburgh and as far up as Scrabster and Thurso... a wonderful Country... just a bit jealous :D

Hope you enjoy the forum... its a great place... full of knowledgable members.

Regards.

Hi all,

Thanks for accepting me as FC member.
My name is Johan and I am from Scheveningen (The Hague) in The Netherlands.
I am interested in frequencies and radio listening.
I got my own free online frequency database and hope to find a lot of up to date UK frequencies here.

Happy listenings.

:D Hello All
New to the site so it may take a while to get the hang of it. Based in Somerset and got the forum details from a chap I spoke to at Yeovilton last Monday. Sorry I can't remember your name but thanks for the info.
I like the look of your monthly picture comps so may enter if I have anything worth submitting.
Regards
